Where the data comes from

Game data, cover art and release dates come from IGDB and RAWG, two of the largest open game databases.

The catalog re-checks itself every six hours, with a full sweep once a day. Nothing on this site is typed in by hand.

No advertising, no tracking cookies, and no IP addresses stored. Visits are counted anonymously.

Is GameDropRadar free?

Yes, completely. There's no paid tier and no card required.

Do I need an account?

Only to track games and keep a list. Browsing, searching and countdowns all work without one.

Will you tell me when a game comes out?

Yes. Notifications appear on the site when a date moves, when an undated game finally gets one, and on release day — those are on from the moment you track something. Email is off until you turn it on, and you can also subscribe to your games as a calendar feed.

Why do release dates keep changing?

Because publishers move them, often quietly. GameDropRadar records the old date alongside the new one so a delay stays visible instead of disappearing.

What does “Hype” actually measure?

How much attention a game is getting, compared with everything else coming — how many people are tracking it, how large its community is, and the weight of its franchise and publisher. No platform publishes real wishlist numbers, so treat it as a strong signal rather than a scoreboard.

Why don't I see older games?

GameDropRadar tracks what's coming, not what's already out. Games that have released drop out of browsing, though anything in your list before launch stays in My Games.
